Welcome[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I reverted your link to an on-line book store selling books about The Sound of Music. I think there are good reasons to avoid external links like this. If it became common practice, Wikipedia would fill up with links to businesses selling related items. They'd all get into edit wars about which company to link. There are some links that go to commercial sites, but I think that should only happen if they go to a site with some good information, which has posted the information in a discreet way, might be hard to find on the web, and only if there is no good alternative. In the case of books, it is easy for anyone to get this sort of information wherever they shop. Samuel Wantman 07:52, 4 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Link spamming[edit]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming, and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising. Thanks. yandman 14:02, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Final warning[edit]

This is your last warning. The next time you insert a spam link, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted from Wikipedia. yandman 14:05, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked[edit]

Hello. I have blocked you from editing due to a significant level of link spamming on Wikipedia articles. If you wish to challenge this block, you may add the following to this talk page: {{unblock|your reason here}}. Other administrators will then review your block to determine whether it should be overturned. - Mark 14:20, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
