Revolutionary War[edit]

Hi, thanks for your interest. User Kowey did at least a merger of source refernces. I've done a bit of editing, but no seriuous merger. I also started a separate article on the American Revolution. My problem with the 1911 article is that lots of it belongs on the revolution page, not the war. I first attacked this last summer (2003) but found so many missing pieces )viographies, battles, etc. that I've ben working from the bottom and middle of the problem. I thought I'd try to reorganize the major two articles (Revolution and War) toward the end of that process. While they should be complete articles, they also need to serve as an introduction, overview, or connection for the more detailed material. All that said, feel free to change either article with material from the 1911 encyclopedia. Thanks again, and good Wikiing! Lou I 18:14, 1 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

just text won't do[edit]

You have to write up the context and the relevance/importance. -- Kaihsu 22:43, 2004 May 1 (UTC)

You might want to consider moving Declaration of Paris to http://sources.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page RickK 22:44, 1 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Ok - cool, I was reading an article about letters of marque and googled the treaty, I thought other readers might want to know too and the article had a link. It was a little funny too, when I added the text it went away - thought I made a mistake. Thanks Colin Carr 22:48, 1 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Good. Happy researching/editing. The write-up does not have to be long, but make sure you use the stub notice {{msg:stub}}, so others know to add to it. See, for example, 13 steps -- Kaihsu 22:50, 2004 May 1 (UTC)

Sailing Wiki[edit]

Hi Colin,

My name is johnsee and I'm trying to track down people keen on both sailing and wiki's to help with a new collborative sailing wiki. It's CC licensed, and a community project (mostly of sailing bloggers) and completely non profit. If I could interest you in helping out the wiki is here. If not, I apologise for stealing a few lines of room on your talk page :)

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Wt2.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 14:34, 17 September 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — pd_THOR | =/\= | 14:34, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
