Hello, this is Nile's User page.

I am an intermittent editor, and frequently contribute anonymously (sorry) owing to the difficulties of working behind a firewall and living in a Windows PC with Opera.

Most of what I do, when the account is accessible, is editing articles in areas of my own expertise where there is little or no up-to-date reference material: Equity Derivatives, Swaps, Forward rate Agreements and, recently, Collateralised Debt Obligations. Thankfully there are now authoritative contributors in these relatively obscure areas of finance and I can sit back, relax, and enjoy reading Wikipedia from my armchair.

Nevertheless, David Gerard keeps inviting me to Wikimedia meets and is encouraging me to participate in the wider world of Wikepediana. This is probably a good thing as I need to get out of the house more.

Off the Wiki, I maintain a Blog that will one day become the definitive reference on life as a suburban consulting nerd, and achieve urban legend status among Japanese teenagers following a string of unexplained deaths caused (it is rumoured) by losing the will to eat, speak, move or breathe.

Meanwhile, I like trolls. Yes, really, I do. I can say things like that with a really bright, honest and enthusiastic smile and everybody thinks: "What a nice young man that he is, that Mr. Nile".

Welcome!
