Wikipedia naming conventions "should give priority to what the majority of English speakers would most easily recognize . . .". This rider is almost always referred to by the first name "Dede" and, likewise, almost always uses that name as her first name, for example, on her web site. While not absolutely definitive, Google searches on "Dede Demet", "Dede Barry", and "Dede Demet-Barry" yield around 2500+ returns while a search on "Deidre Demet-Barry" yields only about 250, clearly indicating how it is she is referred to (and searched for).

I will check on the number of US national championships she has won.
