10th May(roughly); There are two versions of the some parts of the index of the FOLDOC dictionary for some reason. I would suggest that one needs permanent deletion to avoid confusion.

For example:

A page from Free_On-line_Dictionary_of_Computing/Status is

while we also have this floating about: * [[Free_On-line_Dictionary_of_Computing/C - E]] To my mind these also look like duplicates that I think should be removed: * [[Free On-line Dictionary of Computing/F - H]] * [[Free_On-line_Dictionary_of_Computing/R - T]] * [[Free_On-line_Dictionary_of_Computing/U - W]] Or hopefully someone has some background here and can sort it out.

15th May - Ok, In a few days I'll delete all links to the above and add the duplicate pages to 'pages to be deleted', Any problems?

24th May , as I said.

In the course of revising the entries relating to various uses of the word "seal" I found that the FOLDOC entry in Wikipedia refered this to the US Navy Seals. I've written a page for SEAL (Computer Language) which does nothing more than expand the acronym. I've made that change on both the FOLDOC R-S and FOLDOC R-T pages even though I assume that the latter page will eventualy be eliminated.

The URL http://www.foldoc.org/ appears to be dead. -- Tarquin 14:38 Aug 24, 2002 (PDT)

There are mirrors that still work:
