If you had read the URLs you provided, you would have noticed the following on the Broward County PDF:

In 2000, the Miami-Fort Lauderdale Consolidated Metropolitan Statistical Area (CMSA) included only Broward and Miami-Dade counties and was the 12th largest CMSA in the nation. If Palm Beach were included in the CMSA, the combined area would have ranked 10th.

Correct figures are available at the Census Bureau's site. - EurekaLott 22:27, 19 Nov 2004 (UTC) - Pardon me sir/madam, but I did read the PDF's, they mentioned WPB which was incorporated. Unfortunately those are gone now but the fact remains. Xanxz (talk) 21:24, 30 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again. I don't think there's a need to change anything else at the moment. It's great that we have more updated figures elsewhere on the site, and the official Census Bureau definitions seem to work pretty well. It's important to remember that the 2000 Census was a snapshot and we that need to compare apples to apples. If we update the figures or boundaries for one city in the metropolitan areas list to account for recent changes, we need to update them all. - EurekaLott 15:55, 20 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Speaking of Census[edit]

You'll notice the Census Designated area Palm Aire, Florida... when you read the figures you'll realize that this area has nothing to do with the actual Palm Aire we know, love and avoid. I'm trying to figure out what to do with the article. Not sure if we're supposed to be deleting Census Designated Areas; but Palm Aire is not Palm Aire. It's a little tiny neighborhood (now) in Fort Lauderdale known as Palm Aire Village West. The only reason it gets its own designation is because it was unincorporated in 1990. I think the real Palm Aire deserves its own article but probably not my tiny little 500-home neighborhood. See Talk:Palm Aire, Florida astiquetalk 29 June 2005 01:44 (UTC)

this is not the real xaxnz/

the real one is only to be contacted on Yahoo.. after 4 years i have owned the account ""xanxz"" on yahoo untill an inposter stole it from me.... The 'real' Xanxz? I don’t quite understand what you mean. I have had my Yahoo! email account under the name Xanxz for 5+ years. I have never received any emails belonging to someone else. Also, how can someone steal an email address? Can you show me your proof? I am looking forward to seeing what you are really talking about, thanks. Also when you say thanks for listening people, who are you talking too? This is my talk page, I dont think it is that popular yet.--Mad Max 21:13, July 17, 2005 (UTC)

Hi, I wrote that you are the photographer of this, since you write that you live in Ft. Lauderdale. I hope you don't think I assume too much. Feel free to change back if I am wrong. Thuresson 03:48, 26 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Lauderdale[edit]

Did you really take that picture? How come he didn't assume it was me?

Anyway, we need much more pictures here. I plan on putting my camera in the car and getting a few around the county... 2 million people in Broward and there's only two of us in Wikipedia? Harumph! Well, I might even take a picture of Publix in a few minutes except that technically this one is in Pompano and hardly says anything about life in Palm Aire, Florida astiqueparℓervoir 02:29, 28 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

This looks promising! Check it out! astiqueparℓervoir 03:22, 28 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Glad you like. I finally got a better skyline image today, from the 7th Floor of the Broward General parking garage. The great thing about this image is that it shows some clear evidence that downtown still has some significant Hurricane Wilma damage. astiqueparervoir 02:38, 27 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your contributions to Vlad III the Impaler[edit]

Hello,

I've reverted your contribution to the Vlad III the Impaler article because the things that you added are detailed in the next paragraph. Thank you Mihai -talk 14:17, 13 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Howdy! I've just tagged Image:Usvisit.jpg, which you uploaded, as lacking a source. I don't doubt that the image is what you claim it to be, but you need to give the specific source (web-address if online, publication details if offline) for the photograph if it's to be kept on Wikipedia. Let me know if there are any problems. Happy editing! GeeJo (t)(c) • 23:59, 27 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:BillKamal.jpg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:BillKamal.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. VernoWhitney (talk) 20:52, 10 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to join WikiProject United States[edit]

Hello, Xanxz! WikiProject United States, an outreach effort supporting development of United States related articles in Wikipedia, has recently been restarted after a long period of inactivity. As a user who has shown an interest in United States related topics we wanted to invite you to join us in developing content relating to the United States. If you are interested please add your Username and area of interest to the members page here. Thank you!!!

--Kumioko (talk) 03:11, 5 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Josh Towbin has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not notable, and largely unverifiable (?)

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Scott Mac 00:08, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading INS 1924.jpg. My question is: Can you ID the people in the photo? The 3rd person from the left resembles my father and I did not have this photo. Thank you for any assistance or response DachsiePo (talk) 21:44, 17 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:US Customs.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:US Customs.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 13:31, 5 May 2011 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. Angry Birds[edit]

Greetings! I wanted to say thank you for finding that story about the Chinese theme-park attraction based on Angry Birds. I must admit that when I first saw it, I didn't believe it was notable and removed it during a later edit. However, a recent article talking about the first official Angry Birds retail store also mentioned the attraction and a possible response from Rovio (one that might license the attraction and make it official). That raised the notability significantly, so I went through and found your source and restored it. I deserve a good trout-smack for removing it in the first place. Again, thanks for the tip! --McDoobAU93 05:46, 12 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Asian 10,000 Challenge invite[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 05:00, 21 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
