Hello A Simple Question[edit]

Hello how are you? @Charles Matthews I am a new editor and I am trying to understand the policies well in this encyclopedia.

Is it possible for you to give me your opinion on this page User:Charlessmith9/sandbox and can it be in the main space after your review and adding your appropriate modifications

Also, this is a voluntary edit for the sake of transparency and objectivity.

@Charlessmith9: There are a number of problems with your sandbox draft. For example the phrase "He obtained his Ph.D. with distinction in electrical and computer engineering from Dalhousie University, Canada." is copied directly from the reference [1]. All material from sources should be paraphrased for Wikipedia: always use your own words. The phrases "led the vision", "developing a roadmap", "implementing a comprehensive mechanism", "creating a platform" are the way businesspeople talk. According to WP:EPSTYLE, the tone here should "remain formal, impersonal, and dispassionate".

You should start with the basic point: Fahad Saad Abu-Mouti set up the water regulator in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Then you should add details for which you can find good references.

By the way, the link [[:simple:Saudi_Arabia|Saudi]] in the lead section is strange, and you need to pay attention to punctuation. Charles Matthews (talk) 14:56, 25 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The article still needs a great deal of work. About the water regulator: what happened? When did it happen? Why did it happen? How did it happen? These are the questions that a journalist would ask. RFA2024 update: phase I concluded, phase II begins[edit]

Hi there! Phase I of the Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/2024 review has concluded, with several impactful changes gaining community consensus and proceeding to various stages of implementation. Some proposals will be implemented in full outright; others will be discussed at phase II before being implemented; and still others will proceed on a trial basis before being brought to phase II. The following proposals have gained consensus:

Proposals 2 and 9b (phase II discussion): Add a reminder of civility norms at RfA and Require links for claims of specific policy violations
Proposal 3b (in trial): Make the first two days discussion-only
Proposal 13 (in trial): Admin elections
Proposal 14 (implemented): Suffrage requirements
Proposals 16 and 16c (phase II discussion): Allow the community to initiate recall RfAs and Community recall process based on dewiki
Proposal 17 (phase II discussion): Have named Admins/crats to monitor infractions
Proposal 24 (phase II discussion): Provide better mentoring for becoming an admin and the RfA process
Proposal 25 (implemented): Require nominees to be extended confirmed
