Talk:Left-wing extremism

This article seems rather confused about many things. It is not, for example, obvious that anarchists are left-wing. It neglects to consider that different societies label 'extremism' in diffeent ways - in the US a genuine Marxist would be considered a left-wing extremist. Someone who advocated abolition of private property would be in most places, even if they advocated this non-violently. DJ Clayworth 21:03, 29 Mar 2005 (UTC)

NPOV[edit]

"Extremism" is a POV characterization to begin with, because it implies an acceptable range of political thought. It's just propaganda, basically. And then the article goes on to make false generalizations and strawman attacks. I would nominate it for deletion but I think it may still be a valid topic if totally rewritten. I've clarified what would need to be added for this to be an objective category--maybe that will help. I have some reservations about saying that communism and Marxism are "between" anarchism and socialism, and even about treating communism and Marxism as disjoint categories, but I'm not sure how to fix that--someone else can do it.
