George Magoffin Humphrey (March 8, 1890January 20, 1970) was an American lawyer, businessman and Cabinet secretary.

Admitted to the Michigan State Bar in 1912, Mr. Humphrey had practiced law for five years in Saginaw, Michigan, with his father's firm. In 1917, he started an association with steel manufacturer M. A. Hanna and Company, that lasted 35 years.

As Secretary of the Treasury in the first Republican Administration in 20 years, Humphrey was, without question, one of the most influential of President Dwight D. Eisenhower's Cabinet members, and according to many, was the man most respected and trusted by the President.

Humphrey died in 1970 and is buried at Lake View Cemetery, Cleveland, Ohio.
