CRC-8-CCITT[edit]

Hello Ralf, do you happen to have a citation for the polynomial you contributed to the Cyclic redundancy check page in 2006? It seems doubtful that the 1-Wire Bus would use two polynomials of the same length. On the plus side, I'd find any literature you do track down very useful. Thanks. – Regregex (talk) 18:33, 4 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

CRC-8[edit]

It's all even worse. That edit is over three years old so I went to re-research it.

I think I figured out why I thought the polynomial was . I went through Dallas' documentation and they all consistently use . I also found in the ITU-T I.432.1 (02/99) specification so I'll throw that into the CRC article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ralf.Baechle (talkcontribs) 02:24, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
