All Slashdot subarticles should be kept under the main Slashdot article. There is no sense in having half a dozen article for one site.

This article SHOULD have been deleted. There is a disproportionate amount of Slashdot information here at Wikipedia. It creates an inaccurate snapshot, and inaccuracy is the bane of any encyclopedia. All Slashdot stuff should be consolidated into a single, concise page. It's stuff like this that makes visitors loath to trust Wikipedia. AmericanMUSIC 05:32, Feb 5, 2005 (UTC)

To paraphrase - "having more information on some subjects than on others makes visitors loath to trust Wikipedia". Clue - inaccurate snapshot != inaccurate. Informational inaccuracy is the bane of an encylopedia, not a surplus of accurate information. If you think it should have been deleted, perhaps you should have voted. Wikipedia suffers from a hell of an identity crisis. It's full of average people who think they know about encyclopedias. That, and it's collectively unaware or unwilling to admit that its strongest subjects are IT and the Internet. Idon'thaveanaccount Over one year after the above post (UTC)
