I always felt that "dynamical" was a retarded word. "al" and "ic" mean the same thing! The word literally breaks down to: Pertaining to pertaining to... Ok, I don't know how the dynam bit breaks down. If you look up "dynamical" in mirriam webster online, it takes you to the entry for "dynamic" and starts the first definition with "Also dynamical." It's not proper English! I say we change the name of the article to "Dynamic Systems and Chaos."


It would be grand actually to have an article.  :-) --LMS

Yes, "Dynamical systems" is the name of the field. See for instance the Mathematical Atlas.
