Greetings[edit]

See also[edit]

The "See also" section is intended for other pages on Wikipedia that are related to the page subject. Normal practice is to only link a page once, so if it is linked in the actual page content then it shouldn't also be in the "See also" section. AlistairMcMillan 19:27, 21 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

External links[edit]

It comes down to a simple question. Does the link take you to a site that tells the reader more about the subject or is it just there to promote a related product/service?

Yes the link may help people who are having problems, but Wikipedia is supposed to be an encyclopedia not a hardware trouble-shooting site.

See "Links normally to be avoided" in Wikipedia:External links... AlistairMcMillan 19:45, 25 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image caption on Infobox Country[edit]

Good idea. I had already made one for my modified historical infoboxes - see Template:Infobox Historical State and take the code from there if you like. — 52 Pickup 09:59, 20 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Larry Breed[edit]

You edited the Larry Breed page to say that the death date is 2021-05-16. Do you have more information about that? -- Roger Hui (talk) 00:07, 19 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I am friends with close friends of his, and I received an email, addressed to all who knew him in the Buring Man's AEZ village, about his passing. I have no quotable references, though. Tempel (talk) 13:57, 29 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2021 Elections voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2021 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 6 December 2021. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2021 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:00, 23 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
