Thanx for the welcome. I waited for days on the Enlish Wikipedia for a welcome. On the Dutch Wikipedia I received several welcomes within hours after registering. However, I regard a welcome by PrimeFan himself as a very special and very warm one. Gebruiker:Dedalus 07:46, 8 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Bubble wrap[edit]

Dankje voor het snelle antwoord. Ik vroeg me af of er misschien een artikel was met een andere titel erover. (For English people:You can contact User:MacGyverMagic for an English translation) - Mgm|(talk) 20:38, August 12, 2005 (UTC)

Grr[edit]

That was really not on Dedalus. I don't know what on earth you were thinking or what you thought you were doing. Messing around like that on the dutch wikimedia wiki might be tolerated, but you can make a lot of mess in a short amount of time using those methods on the english wikipedia. Especially with social issues like this. Behave. Kim Bruning 14:42, 30 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yep, now jimbo is even asking questions on irc. *zakt door grond* Thanks bud. (not!) Kim Bruning 14:49, 30 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I see the page has been moved to your own username space, so you can play in your own sandbox, where I won't mess around. Fyi, what you call bogus history is really actually the start of the article, you can read here. Gebruiker:Dedalus 14:51, 30 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
zOMG! History of a different page under the same name, before it got made a redirect. Shock horror! Kim Bruning 15:09, 30 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
If you want to start a new page with a fresh history under a name already in use (as a redirect), then let that redirect page be deleted before you start a new page, or move/rename the old redirect page. After completing your text in your sandbox do copy/paste it in a fresh new page, do not rename your sandbox page. Gebruiker:Dedalus 15:16, 30 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I do not wish to create a page with a fresh history. I do not wish to lose the history. When I'm done with the page I will move it back to restore the history.
The page was moved to my user space mostly in the hope that you'd stop messing around with it, so that people could actually review it. Thank you for your concern. Please leave alone. Kim Bruning 16:15, 30 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Concept (base type), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. signatories[edit]

I moved the page into User:Gebruiker:Dedalus/Common_Word_Signatories for you. It did not technically fit into speedy but I thought moving it would be by far the best solution, because as a matter of general policy we don't have provision for such pages in article space--though there is technical ability for subpages there, we try not to use it. I changed the title slightly since we dont have any provision for sub-sub-pages. And I don't think we ever have such lists as a stand alone article. So integrate it into an article as you can. You probably realise that there may well be objections to such a list as article content--there generally is a feeling that a complete list is not encyclopedic. I'm not going to pre-judge that though, you're welcome to try--as you say, the people are certainly important.

If you have the patience, I think most of the people listed could well have WP articles if they do not already, and that this would be a major contribution to the encyclopedia. There is no formal guideline for religious figures as such, but the chief Imam or Mufti of a country will probably be considered notable; a prominent professor or university president generally is considered notable ; a past or present member of a national legislature , or past or present cabinet minister is notable as a matter of course. I strongly encourage you to do this, over whatever spread of time is necessary--we ought to take active steps to combat systematic bias. Best of luck with them all. Let me know if there's anything I can help you with. DGG (talk) 11:32, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Pieter Sjoerd van Koningsveld requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Truthanado (talk) 22:19, 6 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi[edit]

Hi? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.251.115.72 (talk) 13:41, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I can't vote[edit]

Because I'm blocked in the dutch Wiki, for a month, for asking somebody to use his brains. That person removes sources and reverences to present his (religious) view as the only valid view. A protest against this block has been sent to the "Arbitragecommissie", over a week ago and yesterday again, without answer. Sorry, I am blocked by a block of users. Users which find the picture on my homepage an insult. That picture has subject of a heavy discussion, and has been removed within 12 days in stead of the usually 14 days, so I replaced it and got banned again, luckily there were rules for pictures older than 70 years...... Proposed deletion of Annapolis Joint Declaration[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Annapolis Joint Declaration, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

at WikiSource already s:Joint Understanding Read by President Bush at Annapolis Conference, main namespace article link updated

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. billinghurst (talk) 12:12, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't push for a speedy, just a nice gentle pace to allow people a chance to look and react. It only needs to go an AfD, if someone disagrees with a deletion. I am happy to speedy, or just let it take its course. -- billinghurst (talk) 15:16, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
