Hi Jpgordon, I noticed that you left a message on my talk page regarding my edit to User talk:149.19.60.180, which you subsequently removed after a few minutes. I understand where this could get confused and concerned when I removed one of the blocked IP range's unblock request, added a suggestion and readded the "Requests for unblock" category. Following the post of your message, I have now realized that reinserting that category (just so that some action can be taken if necessary) is not exactly correct and that there are better and more helpful ways to handle these kind of situations, such as by reporting it to WP:ANI. I would like to thank you for the advice you gave me, and I am sorry for any inconvenience I may have caused in this situation.~ SG5536B (talk) 12:59, 22 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I reverted it because you were right, just in the wrong place, and the message seemed overly snarky, and it was late enough in the day that I didn't feel like rewording it to be more civil. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 14:03, 22 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Noted, thanks.~ SG5536B (talk) 13:07, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,[edit]

Hello,

What kind of verification do you need for reliable sources? @Jpgordon.

Andjela.

Marcus Garvey and "the strange Loop"[edit]

Sorry but this musical has escaped my attention. I am not a great follower of modern musicals. I see it had a limited run in London last year and so far as I can see it has not been performed anywhere else in Britain. I didn't have a great deal of time to check out sources and I half expected the post to be spam or vandalism. Is it too much to expect somebody to give a source when they make such an edit as this? or to have it ready to put it in if asked ? And as for almost every article about it including the reference to Garvey a quick check of Google just now shows the 2 most reliable sources on it do not mention Garvey. They were The Guardian review of the London production and the piece on the Pullitzer Prize site.. The Wikipedia article on the show doesn't mention Garvey and I think the New York Times is behind a paywall. ( I may be wrong) You obviously didn't understand my little joke about composting.. I understood the compost joke, I mess around with words all the time. I like 21th century composters. Sorry for being snippy. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 02:46, 4 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
