I have usually seen this island's name in English as Island Davaar, rather than Davaar Island, an obvious calque of the Gaelic. --MacRusgail 13:53, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Davaar Island → Island Davaar – Per WP:WIAN this is the name on the Ordnance Survey. Also James Patrick Hynes and Ports.org.uk use this name although quite a few sources use the current title. Crouch, Swale (talk) 16:46, 31 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
