Money market futures[edit]

I do not think the title of this page corresponds to current practice. I think the contents of this page should be on "Money market futures" and that financial futures refers to any future on a financial underlying, ie stock index futures, currency futures, bond futures etc. I will make that change and add other pages if no one objects. Futures contract[edit]

I suggested that this article be merged with Futures contract. Karmela (talk) 17:35, 8 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Rename to Money Market Futures, create Financial Futures category[edit]

I agree that this page should be renamed to "Money Market Futures". I think its existence independent from "Futures Contract" has value, so I do not support that they be merged. I think a category "Financial Futures" should exist, pointing to all the types of futures Jfeckstein mentions and their relatives. If nobody disagrees I'll do so in a month or so. I created the redirect Money market futures as a redirect to Interest rate future § STIRS, though short-term rates (e.g. 90 days) can be for longer maturities than money market. I suppose the 30-day Fed funds and 1-mo. LIBOR and shorter terms than a month could be considered to be money market rates. I merged the content of this to that section, as redundant to that, and am redirecting this generic title to Futures contract. – Wbm1058 (talk) 03:40, 20 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
