Florida Clean-Up[edit]

The Florida section had previously listed all exits for I-275 around Tampa. That seemed a bit excessive to me for an encyclopedia, so I deleted the section when I fixed the nesting of the sections. Does anyone disagree with the edit? Pentegamer 18:54, Feb 25, 2005 (UTC)

I disagree with it - this is useful, and does not simply duplicate a map - by now most maps will show only the new numbers. If opening dates could be obtained, they can be added (along with converting the list to a table). --SPUI (talk) 01:05, 26 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Title Discussion[edit]

True or false: it is a good idea for all Wikipeida articles relating to 3-digit interstates to have in their article title the name of the state they are in. (For example, Interstate 275 (Florida). 66.245.13.233 23:54, 30 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Doesn't cover multi-state highways.

What does this fragment mentioned by an un-signed Wikipedian mean?? 66.245.13.233 00:20, 31 Aug 2004 (UTC)

I think what anonymous is trying to say is that there are three-digit interstates that cross state lines, making naming more complicated under your idea. Pentegamer 18:54, Feb 25, 2005 (UTC)

For example, Interstate 275, one highway that lies in Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky. Interstate 495 in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia (just a little bit). Interstate 270 in Missouri and Illinois. Interstate 670 in Kansas and Missouri.74.163.41.119 (talk) 22:40, 2 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Page renaming[edit]

  • Why was this named back to Interstate 275? The notable Motorola i275 camera phone made the title Interstate 275 a little ambiguous, so I renamed it to I275 for more versatility on the letter and number combination. --SuperDude 19:14, 11 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Because this page was meant to disambiguate things named Interstate 275. I-275 redirects here. You found an item called i275, that does not have an article in iteslf (and probably won't, ever). That point might be worth a mention, but hardly rates as requiring this page to be renamed. olderwiser 20:26, September 11, 2005 (UTC)
Also, something like Interstate 275 is important, and it will still be here 100 years from now. Trivial consumer products will disappear in a few years. Some people just don't have any sense of perspective as to what is important and what's not. 74.163.41.119 (talk) 22:33, 2 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
