Needs Attention[edit]

I'm listing this on WP:PNA because the data is so old. PedanticallySpeaking 17:29, Nov 11, 2004 (UTC)

Hmm. Nobody's maintaining this. It would be interesting if there was an automated system to keep track of this. I know from my watchlist that I have many most recent edits at the moment, and actually at any given moment, and that's not counting redirects. Speaking of which, I've been going through User:Tucci528's contributions (Tucci528 (talk · contribs) is an old account belonging to TUF-KAT (talk · contribs)), and so far I've tracked down 47 of this User's most recent edits, and they are all redirects (such as Lukeios, Erytheia, etc.). Subtract one from his list, because I made Perseis into a disambiguation page. I've gotten bored of digging through User:Tucci528's contributions at the moment, but I'm 99% certain that virtually all if not all of his "most recent edits" are redirects... I changed Tucci's 305 figure (of which I've verified only 47 ATM) to 304, minus Perseis. By the way, what are we going to do with Wikipedia:List of Wikipedians by most recent edit? It's not protected from updates; yet if updated, it will be a totally different list. The previous list would then be relegated either to an archive or simply to the edit history. Unless automatically and constantly updated by some new programming system, this list is interesting only as a fossilized (and was it even accurate for its time?) list of the top most-recent-editors at that time. I feel that we have to do something about this as well. To keep this list mainly for historical interest is unsatisfactory in nature. A new programme to update this list automatically should be created. --Siva1979Talk to me 20:39, 8 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
