Parameters to use with coord[edit]

For use with {{coord}}; see Wikipedia:WikiProject Geographical coordinates#Parameters for details.

  • For cities: region:US-MI_type:city_scale:30000_source:GNIS
  • For rivers: region:US-MI_type:river_source:GNIS|name=

For example:

  • {{coord|43|03|01|N|85|33|01|W|region:US-MI_type:city_scale:30000_source:GNIS|name=NAME}}
  • {{coord|45|40|28|N|84|35|48|W|region:US-MI_type:river_source:GNIS|name=Little Black River (source)}}

Notes:

  • If scale is omitted, default for city is 1:100,000
  • For smaller places like unincorporated communities, which are often no more than a cross-roads, use 30,000 or even 10,000
  • For townships, use type:adm2nd for default scale of 1:300000

Edit Statistics[edit]

Inline redlinks for subjects in foreign language wikis[edit]

{{link-interwiki}}

Blank
{{link-interwiki|en= |lang= |lang_title= }}
Description
{{link-interwiki|en=English language redlink article|lang=two letter language code|lang_title=foreign language article title}}

For example,

{{link-interwiki|en=The Wave (German radio)|lang=de|lang_title=The Wave (Radio)}}

produces

The Wave (German radio) [de]

There is also an optional parameter |en_text= to display text for the English-language link, that is different than the English article name, but I don't expect that to be useful for redlinks to not yet existent articles.
