Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome!

Triple J - chat room[edit]

I noticed your comment on Talk:Triple J. Do you know if a full schedule for 2005 has been publicised yet? -- Chuq 04:09, 6 Dec 2004 (UTC)

I don't think so, I'd assume it would be closer to when it starts. Reubot 07:09, 9 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Request[edit]

I would like to ask you to stop removing \, in TeX and putting the comma out. This needs to be discussed. Would you mind writing your plans at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Mathematics? Thanks. Oleg Alexandrov 03:33, 4 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Let me be a bit more specific. Sometimes it is good to have \, inside of formulas to force PNG image. If some formulas are PNG images and some are not, the fonts can look vey different. So the above is sometimes necessary, and careful thought should be given when to have it and when not.
Also, there is big disagreement in the math community here about whether to have the comma out or in. I think it is better to keep status quo on this, or maybe restart the discussion. See Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Mathematics/Archive7 for last discussion. Thank you.
I am sorry for the hurried reply above, I thought you were a bot. Oleg Alexandrov 03:39, 4 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Hey, just letting you know I've created the AfD for this article as you suggested on the talk page. Cheers, - Zeibura(talk) 23:19, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RfC on Australian TV[edit]

Hi, I noticed you had problems setting up an RFC template. The issue was probably caused by the time= parameter, the bot expects to find a full time string, i.e, hh:mm, dd month year (tz) and your RFC template only had month year. Try using 5 tildes (~~~~~) when using the template as shown in the this example. DMcMPO11AAUK/Talk/Contribs 09:23, 27 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. Thank-you for your recent contributions to this article. Unfortunately, I've had to revert part of your content, for the reason specified below:

You replaced package information with a new name that comes into effect on December 1, while today is October 29. Please come back in December to make these changes. Note that my reverting only affects the "My Complete Movies" -> "My Movie Network" section of your contributions - changes to all other channels have been kept.

Feel free to contact me if you would like further assistance in this matter.

FX[edit]

I know and then it turned into the W. Channel, it has nothing to do with Fox Classics. - Mike Beckham (talk) 06:13, 17 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ok let's get this fixed...

FxM > FX > W. Channel - it featured a regular movie review with Bill Collins during the FxM period. Then FOX Classics came around and Bill Collins moved to Fox Classics when FX became a womens channel. FOX Classics has NOTHING to do with FxM/FX/W. The only similarity is Bill Collins was featured on FxM and Fox Classics. Please stop asserting otherwise. - Mike Beckham (talk) 06:24, 17 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fx[edit]

But you didn't add any correct information if you read what I wrote on your user page before you would understand. - Mike Beckham 07:46, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies, I should not reply at 2am - I NOW get what your saying. You obviously can add the FOX Kids stuff to the Fox Classics article. But remember ALL FX and FXM material goes in the W. Channel article. - Mike Beckham (talk) 15:16, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Images[edit]

You seem to be having trouble with images like Image:Tcm.svg and your recently uploaded one. Is there something I can help with so you understand how to make the rationale better or not having to upload it so many times? — Save_Us_229 09:31, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This page is broken because it is too big with the transcluded templates. Maybe the flags could be ditched? Rich Farmbrough, 01:13, 24 September 2009 (UTC).[reply]

I think a better idea would be to move non-airdate references of entries with multiple references to their respective show pages. Reubot (talk) 04:20, 24 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Classic trance[edit]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Classic trance. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Classic trance. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:05, 5 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Template talk:cite news[edit]

April 2010[edit]

Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to World in Motion. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you.

Usernames[edit]

Hmh, you've been around for almost six years; I'm surprised this hasn't come up before now.

Your username ends in "-bot". We try to reserve that for approved software bots. Might I ask you to consider changing your username? DS (talk) 22:32, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to point out that this policy was not in place when I joined in 2004. Reubot (talk) 18:08, 11 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The "closed" ferry wharf[edit]

Please stop using the "closed" for the current closure, that parameter is used when the wharf is closed for good and will never return, which is not the case here. -- d'oh! [talk] 12:44, 14 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The template documentation states that it is used for both temporary and permanent closures: "Date station closed, either temporarily or permanently, along with reason for closing (for presently closed stations only)" Reubot (talk) 12:50, 14 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I don't care what the documentation says, this will create confusion for readers since the articles says nothing as about the closure it looks like the wharf was closed permanently. Also these wharves isn't owned by and doesn't have anything to do with TransLink so please don't put that in the type parameter. -- d'oh! [talk] 12:56, 14 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
So it would be fine then if a note is also added to the article body? As for the type, the template documentation uses other Intermodal transport authorities for type parameter examples. Reubot (talk) 13:13, 14 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yep the note is fine. The type is not needed anyway since that information is in the lead, remember just because there is a parameter doesn't mean it have to be used, the infobox, in my view, should be short and to the point, with information covered better in the body of the article, kept out of the infobox. -- d'oh! [talk] 13:25, 14 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Usernames[edit]

I'm frankly surprised that you've been here since 2004 and this hasn't been mentioned before.

Usernames that end in the string "-bot" are really not supposed to be used by live humans. They're only supposed to be used by properly-authorized bot accounts.

What would you think of changing your username? DS (talk) 14:47, 17 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Like I said before, this policy was not in place when I joined in 2004. In addition a similar case was allowed last year. I can add the template:notabot to my pages if you want. Reubot (talk) 17:58, 17 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
That would be helpful, yes. DS (talk) 12:06, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Start date parameters[edit]

In your recent edit to Micallef Tonight you reversed the date elements for {{start date}} in the infobox; year, not day, should be the first parameter. The df=y option should also be used for most non-US articles. I have corrected this case, but please note the proper parameter sequence for future infobox or start date edits (parameter details may be found in the documentation at {{start date}}). Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 6BY (Bunbury), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Radio West. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Notice

The file File:Single ladies logo.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unused logo with no article used, it's also can't move to commons because of an unused logo will be deleted as of out of project scope.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Arena2001.svg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Arena2001.svg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 21 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Photos of Oxford St Bulimba[edit]

There are some in the subcat Streets in Bulimba. Not sure what exactly what you want in the photo, but if they aren't suitable, you might want to more explicit of what you are hoping for. FWIW It's a difficult street to photograph because all the parked cars on both sides of the street tend to block the view of the shops if that is what you wanting to see in the photo. I go over there occasionally so I can photograph something specific if I know what you are looking for. Kerry (talk) 09:27, 16 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Kerry Raymond, I didn't realise they were in the subcat, my rationale for requesting is that's the main street and would better represent the suburb than the ferry wharf.
I'm thinking maybe a shot from either ends of the street?

Ways to improve Melawondi railway station[edit]

Hello, Reubot,

Thank you for creating the Melawondi railway station stub.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Per WP:NTRAINSTATION, "Train stations have no inherent notability and are not presumed notable for simply being train stations, but may be notable if they satisfy the WP:GNG criteria, the criteria of another subject-specific notability guideline, or other criteria within this notability guideline."

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Significa liberdade}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Deletion discussion about Bonathorne railway station[edit]

Hello, Reubot, and welcome to Wikipedia. I edit here too, under the username Significa liberdade, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Bonathorne railway station, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bonathorne railway station.

You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Significa liberdade}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!
