Taxonomy[edit]

Is this article about the Tarictic Hornbill, P. panini, or the Mindanao Hornbill, P. affinis?. Are the races listed actually races, or should they be shown as other species in the genus Penelopides?

Bird articles should be capitalised (Wikipedia convention), and I've added a taxobox and author.

Hi, well it was meant to be Mindanao hornbill (P. affinis). But I posted the wrong image. Your edition was very nice but quite premature though since I got the notice about the error from Callan Bentley just today. I will correct it by re-editing it to p. affinis, moving the image to a separate article about p. panini. I already got a fresh image of p. affinis from Noah Jackson who is currently in the island of Panay, Philippines doing research and preservation work on the birds. I will be uploading the image soon.

Regarding the race and genus, I am not an expert on this. Perhaps Noah can help us clarify this matter. Thanks a lot. Latorilla 07:47, 30 Jul 2004 (UTC)
