Babe Ruth[edit]

The date that Babe Ruth hit his first homerun is not a globally notable event and should not be listed on this page. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 00:24, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. Carl.bunderson (talk) 19:16, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Is the first showing of the last "Scrubs" episode in USA an event of global importance? I suggest removal. --- Dave Of Stoft (talk) 23:29, 5 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Pim Fortuyn[edit]

Text on page shows "2002 – Dutch politician Pim Fortuyn is assassinated by an animal rights activist. "

The assassin has a name and article. Propose changing the text to read "2002 – Dutch politician Pim Fortuyn is assassinated by Volkert van der Graaf."

By doing so, it would match the 'On This Day' summary which states "2002 – Dutch politician Pim Fortuyn was assassinated by Volkert van der Graaf for his controversial statements regarding Muslims."

As it stands, it looks silly. 12.69.65.2 (talk) 16:18, 6 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Glaciarium[edit]

I’ve move the mention of the Glaciarium [[1]] FROM 6th May TO 6th June: as that’s the the entry on it, say it opened …

Cleanup of births and deaths[edit]

In accordance with the guidelines, I'm continuing to weed the Births and Deaths sections by removing entries for celebrities with 0-4 articles in other languages. Where possible, these have been transferred to the relevant Year in Topic articles. As well as making the lists more manageable, this will help with the globalization effort.
