Edgardo Mortara[edit]

I would like to add some of Mortara's testimony about his appreciation for his abduction and his refusal to return to his parents. Being new, I'd rather err to the side of prudence rather than boldness, hence am asking if you ever give guidence to newbies?

Hello. What I've pasted above this section is the usual boilerplate stuff, and you'll see that it includes some style manuals and other advice on writing articles. Have you looked at those before? Maybe if you have some specific questions after looking that over, or something specific about the Mortara article, I can address that if you specify what it is.

Last time I looked, the Edgardo Mortara article had an external link to some of Mortara's testimony. One think that bugged me about the material at that site was that it did not say when the testimony was given, so if you know anything about that, maybe you could add that information. Also, note that if you type ~~~~ after anything you put on a discussion page, then when you save the page, your user name and the time and date will automatically appear as, in effect, your "signature".
