Bicycle[edit]

Hi Omegium,

Thanks for reverting that mess on the article bicycle. I dont know how that happened. It seems that spamers used my wikipedia account to put those commercial links. How else could it happen? I never put those links. trust me. But this is hurting and scary because I have been abused by spamers. Is there a solution for this mess. Robin klein 04:34, 20 Dec 2004 (UTC)

I checked the history of the files that I edited on 19th of december 2004 and realised that spammers have used my account to add commercial links to several of the edits that I made. How is this possible. These articles were: Babel, Terry Fox, Payroll,Etruscan civilization, shark

Quarto by email[edit]

Hi Omegium, a new mailing list has been set up to distribute news about the Wikimedia foundation, specifically at the moment to publicise Quarto. I saw your name on the quarto talk page requesting a copy by email, and I think this mailing list is how we're going to do it for the moment. It'll be a html email, which I've added to the Quarto talk page m:Talk:WQ. Mailing list is called Foundation-news-l (We also need translators!) Cheers w:User:Cormaggio

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. "GP's #3 hull" etc.[edit]

I'm writing to apologize on behalf of the native-English-speaker contingent, or at least the Niven fans within it, for it having taken so long for anyone to fix the grammar in references to e.g. the General Products #3 hull. It should have looked wrong to some native speaker who cared enuf to fix it, before 11 years had passed (even tho many Americans -- at least -- are hazy about e.g. the distinction between singular vs. plural possessives, and especially the logically inconsistent rules for possessive pronouns vs. nouns)!
The preceding 'graph is only the first 1/3 of what i've so far (bis jetzt, i think) written. And i now realize i should not write more unless you would like me to attempt to explain, or better yet, answer specific questions, especially about the logic. Thanks for contributing, especially in a "2nd language". And "give my regards to" THE (which i would not confuse, for more than 10 seconds per occasion, with ETH).
