Martingale[edit]

Please: D'Alembert System with a capital S conflicts with Wikipedia conventions; I've changed the S to lower-case. Such conventions help prevent situtations in which one person writes the D'Alembert System article while another writes the D'Alembert system article, and neither knows the other is there, so they can't collaborate. Michael Hardy 23:37, 4 Mar 2005 (UTC). -Ok. Sorry.. I'll be more carefull next time.

Clones is a place in Ireland, so you shouldn't link to it unless that's what you mean. You could write clones (the reader then sees the whole word clones as a clickable link, but what it links to is clone) and that links to the clone disambiguation page. But I changed it to clones. That way the reader sees the word clones as a clickable link, and what it links to is clone (computer science). Generally, plurals are not used as article titles (some obvious exceptions exist, such as Joint Chiefs of Staff, Beatles, Hermite polynomials, etc.). Michael Hardy 23:51, 4 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Tks. Mike !

Pappo[edit]

In Pappo, your link to Rock Musician failed to work because of the incorrectly capitalized letters. Your article begins with a dictionary-style definition rather than a complete sentence, and neglects the highlighting convention, which calls for highlighting the title word or title phrase at its first appearance, like this. I don't know what to say "He died in 2005" or "She died in 2005", but "Died in 2005" is not a complete sentence and needs to get fixed. Michael Hardy 00:54, 5 Mar 2005 (UTC)

List of Mensa international members[edit]

don't know quite why you reverted my addition to this list as "vandalism", but i would suggest that in future if you suspect an edit is vandalism you do a tiny bit of research first to check your gut reaction. had you just taken 30 seconds to put "chino xl mensa" into google, the very first hit would have been a interview which verifies my addition. --Jamieli 21:37, 20 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Enya[edit]

Hi. Sorry, but I reverted your addition of "Semiragusa" to the albums list. It is not an album release. According to Enya's official statement at www.enya.com it was a song recorded for a commercial in Japan and it hasn't been officially released. There are rumors of a new album scheduled for 2005, but it will most likely carry a different title. Cheers. 23skidoo 16:38, 23 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah ! You´re probably rigth. I Downloaded the album but it´s probably a fake

Poor pages[edit]

Please, if you are going to start a page, try at least to write a minimum of information to make it worthy. Your versions of Bersuit Vergarabat and Pappo where really empty (they still are). Please, take also the time to put the correct Categories in your articles. Thanks and good wiking. --Mariano June 29, 2005 13:07 (UTC)

Regional notice board[edit]

You are wellcome to join the Argentine regional notice board. -Mariano 17:27, July 12, 2005 (UTC)

Reification[edit]

Your addition to Reification (computer science) was helpful in pointing out that the previous page content was rather wrong (it seemed to be describing a very basic feature of OOP, not reification). I'd say your contribution was fairly factually correct, so don't take the way I shrunk the page to be a rejection of your edit.

The problem was that your edit was in very broken English (so I find the "en-4" tag on your user page to be a bit surprising); also, your example built on the previous irrelevant example, so it would be difficult to rewrite the page in a way that kept your contribution. So I replaced the article with a brief stub. If you understand the concept of reification better than I do, feel free to expand it.

Remark about links[edit]

One request: when you insert a link, it is good that it is singular, not plural. That is, axioms is preferrable to axioms. Thanks! Oleg Alexandrov (talk) 00:05, 12 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Tks ! Oleg. I will !

Mensaje de un wikipedista norteamericano[edit]

¡Saludos, compañero de Wikipedia! I'm coming to Argentina soon and wanted to see if any of my fellow Wikipedians were interested in meeting up, etc...I'm flying into BsAs on Jan. 25th and I don't know many people there, so if you'd be into talking/getting together, let me know. I'm also an aspiring Esperantist...is the language popular in Argentina? If so I would definitely want to improve my Esperanto as well as Spanish while I'm there. Feel free to leave a message on my user page...seeya around - Paul 22:33, 3 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Years[edit]

Hi! I noticed you've been wikilinking years in articles. I'd just like to call your attention to the manual of style section on dates; a bare year is probably not usually helpful to wikilink. Today most editors actually remove them, but they are in many articles so it looks "standard". --Dhartung | Talk 17:59, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikimedia Stories Project[edit]

Aloha!

My name is Victor and I work with the Wikimedia Foundation, the non-profit organization that supports Wikipedia. We're chronicling the inspiring stories of the Wikipedia community around the world, including those from readers, editors, and donors. Stories are absolutely essential for any non-profit to persuade new people to support the cause, and we know the vast network of people who use Wikipedia have so much to share.

I find stories that drive our annual fundraising efforts. It's important to convey the incredible diversity of people who've come to rely upon Wikipedia every day.

I'd really like the opportunity to interview you to tell your story, with the possibility of using it in our materials, on our community websites, or as part of this year’s fundraiser to encourage others to support Wikipedia.

I will be in Buenos Aires from the 10th - 11th of March 2012.

I'm hoping you will elaborate on your story with me. Please let me know if you're inclined to take part in the Wikipedia Stories Project!

Thank you,

Victor Grigas

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. 2021 in science fiction moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, 2021 in science fiction, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
