Fair use rationale for Image:CTA.jpg

Image:CTA.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. "The"?

Agreed, the album is called "Chicago Transit Authority" (see allmusic, Discogs, the labels and spines of the release, etc.). Funkeboy (talk) 00:53, 11 August 2010 (UTC)

The cover graphic has "The" but the label doesn't, so I guess it's a judgment call. I deleted the "The" since the label traditionally takes precedence over cover art as the "official" title, but I could see someone switching it back. --Walor (talk) 22:20, 7 January 2017 (UTC)

AllMusic and Discogs, while excellent sites, all go by the side of the album. But the album text is decided by the publisher. The cover art is chosen by the band, and was their intention for the name. Also, you would never refer to the actual Chicago Transit Authority without "The" in front of it. Liberation and the 1968 democratic convention

RE: Liberation and the 1968 democratic convention

Without doing any research to verify this, the soundtrack is obviously from the DNC. Go the the wikipedia article on that event; it mentions the cord chanting "the whole world's watching" for 17 minutes as the cameras rolled. The lyrics, I believe, are more about the "new generation" and the changing times as exemplified by the riots at the convention than the convention itself. One could presume the title "Liberation" refers to throwing off the old ways, the establishment, whatever. No one was fired upon at the DNC; I believe you are referring to the Kent State shootings, also well-documented on Wikipedia and all over the internet. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Subitopiano (talk • contribs) 18:07, 26 June 2013 (UTC)

50th anniversary remix reviews

The 50th-anniversary remix is objectively horrendous, see the reviews in the discogs link. Someone should amend the reviews which are present or add something since it doesn't represent the whole picture. I have to agree wholeheartedly. The Amazon reviews reflect this too. My wife, who's not nearly as picky as I am when it comes to sound, asked to listen to some of it just out of curiosity.
