Hi. Welcome to Wikipedia. Rest assured, you're dealing with real people. The reason there are folk monitoring Special:Recentchanges is that we get a lot of vandalism, since anyone can edit any page. So a few people (like myself) regularly look at the Recent Changes page to see if anything looks fishy.

As for your contribution, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and entries of dubious encyclopedic value are likely to be removed. Sorry. You might want to review the page Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not which discusses this.

Still, it's good to have you here, and we'll welcome further contributions if they add useful information.
