Move[edit]

This page needs moving to St John's College, Durham to conform with other such articles, but it needs someone with the necessary powers to perform the operation as the target is a redirect. — Trilobite (Talk) 00:32, 21 Aug 2004 (UTC)

"including the most extensive selection of Scotch Whiskies and Real Ales of any Durham college."? That was written only a few days ago, but I must disagree. The bar is lovely, but the Whiskey selection at Howland's Farm is much larger (i.e. more than 7 bottles) and we only have 3 ale taps. — Aradiel (Talk) 18:03, 22nd Jan 2007.

referencing[edit]

All the info on thepage needs to show adequate references. Much of it could probably come from Unviersity or College sources, but more recent stuff on colelge life may be harder to reference adequately, in which it will have to be removed. claims that the choir is "renowned" need to be backed up (has it recorded, broadcast or had performances reviewed by general media?). Advertising[edit]

Wikipedia is not a platform for PR. I have removed some of the obvious puffery which made this article read like an advertising pamphlet. It still needs some references and the history section could be expanded with sourced info. It is important to remember that one of the pillars of wikipedia is neutrality. Cranmer Hall[edit]

Is it worth creating a separate page for Cranmer Hall, Durham. As a theological college it is notable enough to have its own page. At the moment there are only a few sentences spread throughout the article that focus on Cranmer Hall, and a separate article would mean this could be built on without detracting from the focus that this article has on the college a s a whole.
