Where is the article for the pledge to the flag?? Please make Pledge a re-direct:

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. 66.32.65.129 01:10, 16 Apr 2004 (UTC)

  • That would be the Pledge of Allegiance. Pledge is used for many other things, so probably won't become a redirect to any one particular pledge of one particular country. I see you cite the original pledge, the god-less one<G>. - Nunh-huh 01:14, 16 Apr 2004 (UTC)
    • Where did you get the phrase "god-less" from?? 66.32.65.129 01:24, 16 Apr 2004 (UTC)
      • My head. -- Nunh-huh 01:26, 16 Apr 2004 (UTC)
      • It doesn't contain "under god". Meelar 01:27, 16 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Level sub-divisions[edit]

In a talk, a filled circle is the first-level talk, an open circle is the second, and a square is the third. What is the fourth?? 66.32.65.129 01:29, 16 Apr 2004 (UTC)

  • let's see
    • second
      • third
        • fourth

look's like it's a square, the same as the third. moink 01:31, 16 Apr 2004 (UTC) pledge - "india is my country, all Indians are my brother and sisters." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.197.124.174 (talk) 04:38, 15 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fraternity Pledge[edit]

It is my understanding that a pledge is someone who wants to join a fraternity/sorority but is not technically a member until he/she is initiated into the fraternity/sorority. A New Member would then be someone recently initiated. Is this correct? Do some groups use "pledge" and "new member” interchangeably?

If not, I would like to change the description to read:

Pledge, someone who has expressed interest in - and is working towards - joining a fraternity or sorority.Tmpafford (talk) 19:38, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Never mind, someone added a line like the one I was proposing on September 12. Since the line I had questioned is now a duplicate, I will remove it.Tmpafford (talk) 16:42, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Magic Pledge[edit]

This is the term used for the first part of a magic trick: Pledge, Turn and Prestige
