Wikispam is not specific to Wikipedia. Other wikis also get spammed. Hence, a spamming redirect is more appropriate. Martin 16:47, 3 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

But spamming covers more ground than wikis. There's a need to address spam on Wikipedia, which is why there's a topic devoted to it AND a proper redirect: Wikipedia:Spam. Alcarillo 18:25, 3 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Of course there's a need to address spam on Wikipedia, and Wikipedia:spam is the correct place to do that. However, a redirect from wikispam there is not needed, as far as I can tell. That's why someone else listed the redirect on wikipedia:redirects for deletion.

Sub-topic redirects are perfectly normal - eg distributed denial of service attack redirects to denial of service. A redirect to spamming fits in with that grand tradition, until we have enough specific info on spamming wikis to warrant a seperate article on the subject. Martin 18:42, 3 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Wikispam is covered on the link spam page, not on the spamming / spam (electronic) page, so I'm changing the redirect. --Zundark 17:20, 4 Dec 2004 (UTC)

I strongly feel that wikispam should be covered as a seperate topic. James Newton
