  • I don't know. It's a pretty hollow piece of work, I'll admit, but I've recetly been working on the Fictional pages for planets, elements, buildings, characters... Fictional cigarettes, why not? It's a good way to organize. And while we're about it, does anyone out there in wikiland have an idea for an 'overpage' for this sort of thing? You know, like an index of fictional things. I'd pull everything together myself if I knew where to begin and what to call it. -Litefantastic 23:06, 4 Apr 2004 (UTC)
  • I was going to challenge you to name even one more brand of fictional cigarettes, but damnit I just thought of two more. I still don't think it merits it's own page though, maybe make List of fictional brands or some such and list them on that. - Lee (talk) 23:22, 4 Apr 2004 (UTC)
  • Move to List of fictional brands and keep the redirect. Niteowlneils 03:37, 5 Apr 2004 (UTC)
  • Move to List of fictional brands, which could turn into a really useful article. -- Jao 08:40, 5 Apr 2004 (UTC)
  • I don't think List of fictional brands will be useful, but it would be interesting. Move it there. -- Cyrius|&#9998 19:09, Apr 5, 2004 (UTC)
  • Regardless where it ends up it simply must include "Fantastic Cigarettes (look for the can in the plain brown can)" from The Firesign Theatre's Nick Danger ;Bear 20:24, 2004 Apr 5 (UTC)
  • Keep. We have List of fictional Oxford colleges, so why not cigarettes? And it already has 4 entries. Andris 04:24, 6 Apr 2004 (UTC)
  • I started off the 'list of fictional brands', but I'm still in stub territory. - Litefantastic 11:31, 6 Apr 2004 (UTC)
    • Also started Archive of fictional things, which I intend to be a sort of overall collection bin for all fictional things as they appear in media. Tell me what you think. -Litefantastic 11:33, 6 Apr 2004 (UTC)
    • I don't think this should be moved, even, at this point. There are quite a few cigarettes now, and cigars as well. -Litefantastic 13:14, 6 Apr 2004 (UTC)
  • Move to List of fictional brands and keep the redirect. Exploding Boy 11:35, Apr 6, 2004 (UTC)
  • Someone added a cigar brand, so I added another one from Tintin. But now the page title is wrong, should be List of fictional cigar and cigarette brands or something of the sort. (No, I do not think it is worth splitting the page...) Jorge Stolfi 13:16, 6 Apr 2004 (UTC)
  • Move to List of fictional brands - we can always move it back if that page gets too bulky. --ALargeElk 14:05, 6 Apr 2004 (UTC)
  • I have added some introductory text to list of fictional brands and copied there the contents of list of fictional cigarette brands (which apparently is the only sub-page that exists at the moment). The latter article is still intact. So now the question is now which material should be deleted. Anyway I move to rename list of fictional brands to fictional brands.Jorge Stolfi 14:17, 6 Apr 2004 (UTC)
    • I'd rather you didn't move the List of Fictional Brands page anywhere. It'd just make things more complicated and besides, I have it linked to under my Archive of fictional things page by that name. There's no shame in a page being titled a list. -Litefantastic 17:43, 7 Apr 2004 (UTC)
  • Merge with list of fictional brands and make list of fictional cigarettes a redirect. Wile E. Heresiarch 16:04, 6 Apr 2004 (UTC)
  • I concure with the move to make a "fictional brands" entry and move content then, with a redirect. There are other VfD entries already discussing things like the Red Apple Cigarettes used in Tarintino films which are fictional, this would be a great place for all such fictional brand references in pop-culture to re-direct to. Lestatdelc 23:02, Apr 7, 2004 (UTC)
  • I turned the cigarette page into a redirect after someone copied all the data over to fic. brands. Case closed, methinks. -Litefantastic 11:39, 7 Apr 2004 (UTC)
