Where is the better image that you refer to on the Talk page? Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 11:22, 11 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Note that Bee-eater still uses the old image. The image to which you refer is certainly better (though rather too much background area for Wikipedia purposes, I'd have thought). I don't really see that poor image quality is grounds for speedying, though, unless you get the permission of the original up-loader. Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 11:35, 11 Apr 2005 (UTC)
In fact the original up-loader was an anon; now that the image is a genuine orphan, there seems to be no reason to keep it. Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 11:57, 11 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Image:Viviparous lizard female 2004.jpg[edit]

Why have you listed Image:Viviparous lizard female 2004.jpg for speedy deletion? Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 18:18, 14 Apr 2005 (UTC)

OK, thanks, it's now deleted — but for benefit of the admin who has to decide on deletion, could you make that clear in the {{db}} tag? Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 10:17, 15 Apr 2005 (UTC)

WAYN[edit]

I suggest you look up Wiki policies on POV and advertising/SPAM. An article may be tagged as POV or as not conforming to Wiki tone WITHOUT the user having to adjust it themselves. The user - myself in this case - is not a subject matter expert on social networking. I therefore do not have to edit it myself but can tag it for others to edit it. If you untag the article again, I will retag it and call for a vote to avert an edit war. This may be avoided if you review wiki policies. 203.57.241.67 (talk) 00:56, 7 March 2008 (UTC)Encise[reply]

Please explain this "gospel" nonsense. Corvus cornixtalk 20:38, 7 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm referring why you are trying to claim that news about WAYN is "gospel". Corvus cornixtalk 20:58, 7 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Do you know what the word "gospel" means? Corvus cornixtalk 21:11, 7 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry, it suddenly occurred to me in the middle of our discussion that you might not be a native speaker, and that's why I asked the question.  :) Corvus cornixtalk 18:21, 8 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

List of tools for static code analysis[edit]

Hey. I'm reverting your additions to this page, on the grounds of our standalone list policy. Basically if you want to add a tool to that list, it has to have its own article on the English Wikipedia. We do this so that the page doesn't turn into a big list of external links. If you have any questions about this policy, feel free to ask me. Thanks. — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 00:24, 10 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Here Maps[edit]

I've reverted you at {{GeoTemplate}} — not because I oppose the inclusion of Here Maps, but because your edit left a bunch of stray code. Please go back and fix it if you'd like Here to appear at the top. Nyttend (talk) 17:30, 18 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Instead of a copy & paste move ..[edit]

.. on Here (Nokia), tag the article with {{db-move|page to move from|reason for move}} and a sysadmin will take care of the move while correctly preserving page revision history. Cheers, hydrox (talk) 21:06, 14 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Also please stop trying to impose your ideas of capitalisation upon the article. If you can persuade hydrox to put back the shouting, I will happily accept it. But not when the edit is done by you. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 15:25, 19 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I am in favor of "Here" against "HERE". Many brands, such as the magazine TIME, are very clear about all-caps formatting in their own style guide. However, Wikipedia's style guide recommends following standard English capitalization rules where possible. Brand names are rendered like other proper nouns irrespective of the wishes of the brand's proprietor. If you still feel that this article should be renamed, I would suggest opening a discussion on the talk page. --hydrox (talk) 17:17, 19 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Tate McRae requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://genius.com/artists/Tate-mcrae. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ‑‑Trialpears (talk) 22:45, 6 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Tate McRae moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Tate McRae, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Praxidicae (talk) 22:55, 6 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Tate McRae[edit]

Hello, Pkuczynski. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Tate McRae".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. If you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Liz Read! Talk! 17:49, 18 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
