Untitled[edit]

Hello, I am from Korea, but this is strange:

The Haerye is Korean national treasure number 432.

Above was introduced in 2003-09-14 edit. I can confirm that there is no such thing as Korean national treasure no. 432. In fact the last number of the national treasure list is currently at 307. (No. 307 was assigned 2004-09-02. I read it on the newspaper.)

Haerye copy is No. 70, as far as I can tell. Current Wikipedia articles on Hunmin Jeongeum copies are seriously confused. There are actually 3 versions we are talking about:

1) Ye-eui copy. (Sample and Signification) 2) Eon-hae copy. (Hangul annotation) 3) Hae-rye copy. (Explanation with examples)

1) is the one recorded in the Annals. 2) is mostly a translation of 1), although there are differences. 3) is much longer, and includes 1) at the beginning.

(By the way, "The Sejong Chronicles" reference is a crap. It is just a part of Annals of Joseon Dynasty.)

There are 4 copies of 2). There are only 1 copy of 3).

Dear Anon from Korea, since it is so "strange", then please be bold and simply improve/correct this "crap". Wiki means those "seriously confused" articles gets corrected. Your insights will be appreciated more that way. --Menchi 21:30, 17 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Different image?[edit]

Haerye? Eonhae?

I think Image:Hunmin jeong-eum.jpg is obviously

not
"Hunmin Jeongeum Haerye"
(訓民正音解例 or 解例本; [1], [2])
but
"Hunmin Jeongeum Eonhae"
(訓民正音諺解 or 諺解本; [3]; w:ko:훈민정음 언해, s:ko:훈민정음언해)

mainly because of its hangulfulness. :) Mulukhiyya (talk) 11:30, 16 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You're absolutely right. --Kjoonlee 23:22, 19 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
