Not a link repository[edit]

Similar to the rules used in the Podcasting article, Wikipedia is not a place to create a linkfarm. It is impossible to create and maintain a NPOV listing of podcasts in Wikipedia, and furthermore it is not allowed. Therefore I have removed the offsite links from this category page. The category should only be used as a way to connect articles on the Wikipedia that are about podcasts, not to create offsite links. Adm58 22:20, May 28, 2005 (UTC)

The name of the category ...[edit]

It is likely that the name of the category should be changed to Category:Podcasting so that it includes not just podcasts (those that are considered encyclopedic) but also matters related to the technology. Courtland 02:58, 2005 Jun 12 (UTC)

Good idea. I think we need 3 categories (so far):

Podcasting (for articles relating to the concept)
Video podcasts (for individual podcasts in the video realm)
Audio podcasts (same for audio)
