Untitled[edit]

Thanks to my last six edits there seem to be quite a lot of links, even with the expanded size of the page. If someone has the patience, I dont, I would

  • get rid of the link to 1877 and 1878 in the second paragraph - we already have a link to 1878 in the 1st and since there is no mention of the league in the 1878 page, why link to it?
  • find an alternative word to nationalism - when the League was first formed they were seeking autonmous status and nationalism would imply independence from the Ottoman Empire
  • expand the page on Pec - its significant to the history of Albanians and Serbs - a mention of the genocide that cost 150,000 Serb lives and the Pec League of 1899 are important events in the history of Pec
  • mention the Great Eastern Crisis somewhere in this article - its kind of essential to why the Albanians formed the League

Last Sentence[edit]

I believe this article isn't very objective as it mentions Kosovo as an Albanian territory , without mentioning that in that time it had a large Serbian population. Some could have the wrong impretion that Kosovo has always had a large Albanian majority and that Serbia "occupied" and not liberated Kosovo in 1912. Reminder: Kosovo was the cultural ,economic and ethnic center of Serbian medieval state ,and is now considered as cradle of Serbian statehood. Njemanja (talk) 12:22, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Do not remove the two maps on top[edit]

These maps are both important. While the first one proposes the autonomous Albania as proposed by the League of Prizren, the other offers the four vilayets. The difference is important and they are both necessary.sulmues (talk)--Sulmues 14:51, 22 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Both maps show exactly the same territory as Albanian, and that's simply because the League of Prizren, proposed as Albanian the 4 Ottoman villaets, 'nothing more nothing less'. This is also stated on both captions. The only diferrence is that the one map is more detailed according to the borders of every villayet, so there is completely useless to have both maps and according to my experience here the more detailed map is better to stay. If you enjoy seeing the 4 Ottoman villayets being Greater Albania in different versions of maps that's not wikipedia's problem.Alexikoua (talk) 08:47, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Synvet Map[edit]

I removed that map because it isn't an ethnographic map but a map connecting ehtnicity to religion. I don't think that anyone can argue that Mussulmans isn't an ethnic description of any kind or that there is no nation called Serbo-Croats or Bulgar-Greeks.--ZjarriRrethues (talk) 17:40, 13 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the ref about A.Synvet being pro-Greek because what the ref actually says is not at all that: It says that the MAP was favourable to the Greek cause, not the geographers, which is something entirely different. In detail: "Other maps (not other geographers) amongst other ..... were favourable to the Greek cause" meaning that they agreed with the Greeks. That doesn't make (the geographers themselves) pro-Greek. The text is free on line as pdf --Factuarius (talk) 00:21, 18 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Recent massive changes[edit]
