Hello Gurkha, I just reverted your spelling change on Sniper, because 'materiel' was not incorrect. 'Materiel' with an 'e' is a military term meaning all the physical equipment of war, usually contrasted with 'personnel'. So saying that a weapon is 'anti-materiel' means that it is intended to destroy equipment rather than shoot people. Of course, this distinction should probably be explained somewhere but there's a heck of a lot of work to do on that article and it's way down my list. Securiger 02:19, 20 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]
