Bug?[edit]

There seems to be a problem with my browser reading this page. The bottom sentence is somewhat impinged upon by the category box. Anyone else? Fire Star 16:37, 26 Jun 2005 (UTC)

I've reloaded it and it seems fine, now. Fire Star 16:39, 26 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Anecdote[edit]

btw, there is one nice joke about the trademark and beer quality:

After the court, a group of lawyers goes to the pub to discuss how to prolong the trademark lawsuit so they get more money from their companies. The Americans order: "Budweiser, OUR Budweiser!", then the Czechs say "Coca-Cola!" The Americans wonder "Why don't you order Budvar?" - the Czechs: "Well, if you won't drink beer, neither we."

... wonder if this would fit in the article :-) --Kavol 10:29, 1 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Weird phrase[edit]

As much as it saddens me, the phrase "all european cowntries denie the right to sell USA Budwiser brand beer in european soil." is not true. I surely can walk to a shop and buy Budpiss here in Finland, and I'd suspect it's also possible in Germany what with the World Cup and A-B's aggressive marketing. Besides, look at the language :)--Elmeri B. Suokirahvi 20:27, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

First times[edit]

Maybe it should be noted in the text that the first written message about brewing beer in czech was in 933, Benedictis Břevnovský Klášter (Brevnov Monastery), and they actually brewed it there :)

Beer styles[edit]

I restored the section about the legal definitions of beer styles, it was properly cited and is useful knowledge. Velkyal (talk) 13:34, 7 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Svetle pivo[edit]

I dont think "svetle pivo" has anything to do with wheat beer. "Svetle pivo" means "pale beer", and describes pale lager. Definitely not a wheat beer. Can someone verify and possibly fix it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.0.162.27 (talkcontribs) 00:09, 8 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, pale beer = světlé pivo and wheat beer = pšeničné pivo. They are very different types of beer. Jirka.h23 (talk) 11:51, 11 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
