Proposed changes[edit]

It seems to me that splitting up UK airports between England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland is un-necessarily cumbersome. That are not that many airports in the UK that we need to do this for category size limitation reasons, and I can see no other good reason for the split.

The current sub-category for 'London Airports' is just plain wrong, as London is part of England. So the sub-category should be at that level, but this would then mean taking the London airports out of the Airports in England category, in order to avoid breaking Wikipedia's 'not in inherited categories' rule.

All this seems way overkill for two or three dozen airports. I propose (unless I get objections here) to move everything into 'Airports of the United Kingdom' and list all the sub-categories for deletion. -- Chris j wood 17:13, 3 Jan 2005 (UTC)

  • I favour leaving them as they are, except for the London Airports. They can be moved in England. The reason is due to the fact that anything over about 15 and it gets very cumbersome to look at, IMHO. Burgundavia 20:10, Jan 4, 2005 (UTC)
