Considering adding this, or something like it, to ... one of the pages (single/multi etc.). Not sure how to go about it yet - opinions welcome.

The multiregionalist vs. single origin theory debate is a very delicate matter because of its implications on racist issues. It has not been, and still isn't, uncommon for various organizations or states to put forth their own population and history (pre-history) and claim it as greater than others, more special than others, older than others (Piltdown man and Peking man are but two that have been used for this purpose or in this context). In that context, the multiregionalist theory easily becomes a harbour for racism, while the single origin theory easily assumes a "must be right because anything else is just racist". The matter cannot be easily overlooked, since our understanding of our own origin is at stake.
