I've reverted the copyvio tag on this article because the original article was a quote of a single pro-forma paragraph enumerating purely factual information. Any infringement is amply covered by fair use.

The alleged infringing section read, in full:

Calvert Hall was established in 1845 by the De La Salle Christian Brothers as a private Catholic college preparatory high school for boys. The thirty-three acre campus consists of three academic buildings: Keelty Hall, George Young Hall, and the Marion Burk Knott Center for the Performing Arts. Keelty Hall contains administrative and guidance offices, classrooms, science labs, the chapel, and cafeteria. George Young Hall houses four computer labs, TV Studio, Art Studio, classrooms, and George Young library. The Marion Burk Knott Center contains a theater, two lecture halls, and practice areas for instrumental and vocal music. In addition, the campus includes Alumni Memorial Gymnasium, Paul Angelo Russo stadium, the McManus baseball field, the athletic activities building, Hucht pool, practice fields, the Shaughnessy tennis courts and the Christian Brothers residence.

Sexual abuse history absent[edit]

Calvert Hall College has notable history related to sexual abuse within the school, as perpetrated by clergy and staff. At least 17 victims came together forming the Abused by Calvert Hall Educators, or ACHE victim advocacy group. CNN's Anderson Cooper reported on this topic extensively. The article should be updated to include a section on this Notable portion of history given the sheer number of victims and abusers -- and how widely it was reported.

I've reviewed the sources posted here. It appears to be enough to make an addition to the article. Some things to be aware of:

  • Several of the listed sources do not meet Wikipedia's standard for reliability. One is at this writing dead.
  • The first CNN link does not mention the school, and is therefore unusable.
  • The second CNN link, as an interview with a principal to the subject at hand, is primary. Although it can be used as verification that the interview occured, nothing in it can be used to reference something as factual. That's not how an encyclopedia works.
  • This school is nearly 175 years old. You have actual facts, as opposed to unsubstantiated allegations, to show two separate incidents that occured at not clearly defined times in the past.
  • Please make yourself aware of WP:WEIGHT, a policy that discusses the volume of copy on a particular subject in an article vs. the total size of the article; WP:UNDUE, which discusses how to handle multiple sources; WP:NPOV, a pillar policy discussing keeping a neutral point of view; and WP:RIGHTGREATWRONGS, an essay on what its name implies. It appears you are already aware that we have policy on COI.

All that being said, the purpose of an article talk page is to discuss specific changes in content. So my suggestion would be to add here your exact proposed addition, complete with formatted references. The publication date of the sources has a bearing on their utility. I'll leave instructions on reference formatting on your talk page in case you don't know how. To facilitate your draft copy of the addition, I'll be adding a talk page reflist a few lines below this. Please place your draft above that but below this. BTW, section titles are required to be neutral per WP:TP. On Wikipedia, notable means "qualifies for an article."
