Conseil d'Etat[edit]

"Legislative power is vested in the Chamber of Deputies, elected directly to 5-year terms. A second body, the "Conseil d'Etat" (Council of State), composed of 21 ordinary citizens appointed by the Grand Duke, advises the Chamber of Deputies in the drafting of legislation."

So, if the Conseil d'Etat consists of 'ordinary citizens', then what does the Chamber of Deputies consist of? Robots? Cows that go mooooo in the night? Extra-ordinary citizens? By virtue of what? branko

Wikified date[edit]

I have wikified (made into links) the date in the section heading for the June 2004 election results. Normally I wouldn't think this worthy of much comment, but I'm not sure how a link to the section would work. There seems to be nothing linking to it now and since links to sections are discouraged by Wikipedia style, I don't think this is a big problem; but it's kind of an interesting question. Important notice[edit]

The government section of the "Outline of Luxembourg" needs to be checked, corrected, and completed -- especially the subsections for the government branches.

When the country outlines were created, temporary data (that matched most of the countries but not all) was used to speed up the process. Those countries for which the temporary data does not match must be replaced with the correct information.

Please check that this country's outline is not in error.

If you have any questions or comments, please contact The Transhumanist .

Thank you.

2009 election[edit]

Does nobody think that the results of the 2009 election need to be incorporated here? Seems a bit odd to have the results of the last but one election. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.251.142.222 (talk) 08:41, 28 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for pointing that out. It's been updated (although it should probably be a template called 'latest Luxembourg election', which can be redirected when there's a new election, to make such mistakes harder in future). Bastin 14:47, 28 October 2009 (UTC)

Ministries?[edit]

We do not have a list of ministries or government departments for Luxembourg. It would be good also to explain whether the title of minister is higher or lower than that of secretary of state. – Kaihsu (talk) 16:51, 9 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Green / NATO position[edit]

In the article it currently reads "This party generally opposes Luxembourg's military policies, including its membership in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization." in the section about the green party.

Is that the case? they were not anti NATO in the last 10 years of gov. source missing. remove? Atluox (talk) 22:41, 8 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
