missing stays linked to Tack (sailing) why?[edit]

The phrase 'missing stays' is linked to the Wikipedia article on Tack (sailing). Why? There is nothing in that brief article about missing stays. I found another article that gives a brief definition of 'missing stays': an unsuccessful attempt to tack. That is in Stays (nautical). I am no sailing expert, but it is annoying to follow a link and find no reason to be reading that article, relevant to the first article.
