Category:Internet protocols is probably inappropriate, as not all routing protocols are used on the Internet. 212.25.124.145 10:01, 13 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

First hop redundancy protocols[edit]

Does VRRP belong in this category? It is not a routing protocol, but rather a first hop redundancy protocol.

If no one objects to VRRP being in this list I plan on including HSRP, CARP, and GLBP as well. If this isn't the place for first hop redundancy protocols perhaps a "see also: first hop redundancy protocols" would be nice to have.
