Note[edit]

On the Temp page, I have reverted to the last uninfringed information by Michael Hardy, all edits after are by 129.55.200.20 and infringed and I believe was taken from the MIT Lincoln Labs history page on their site, without their knowledge and attempt to contact the lab on if they would agree to allow the history to be put on this page, However, he never written a summary and I have not found any proof that he took it from their website with their consent. --Saint-Paddy 22:56, 5 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Name[edit]

Lincoln Laboratory (or "Lincoln Lab", never "Lincoln Labs") gets its name from Project Lincoln, which was named after the nearby town of Lincoln, Massachusetts. There is no connection to the American President of the same name. If other editors add the "... named after American Presidents" category, please delete it.

The name "Project Lincoln" was chosen because the Laboratory sits near the towns of Bedford, Lexington, and Lincoln, and the names "Project Lexington" and "Project Bedford" were already taken.

After writing this, I've decided to add it to the article... 129.55.200.20 13:49, 13 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Location[edit]

Fixing the article; Lincoln Lab is at Hanscom Air Force Base, not Hanscom Field.

Organization[edit]

Still seems a little short, especially under the organization section. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.9.90.161 (talk) 16:04, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Name[edit]

Should this article be renamed to MIT Lincoln Laboratory (adding MIT)? The official name on their site has all three words. Nasa-verve (talk) 22:04, 15 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
