What in the world does this mean:

Looks like citations of some sort. Like, the book he wrote in 1980, page 331. I'm not sure about the second one though. Adam Bishop 04:17, 13 Sep 2003 (UTC)

And in the first reference, I find Lovejoy is generally credited with having brought the tropical forest problem to the fore as a public issue. He was the first person to use the term biological diversity (in 1980).

Notice José, that the word mentionned is biological diversity

The second bio just indicate the same.

This is consistent with what I read in my french books (though his name is unfortunately mentionned no where) and wrote on the biodiversity article.

Biological diversity -> 1980 by Lovejoy

Biodiversity -> staff of the 1986 forum + Wilson

If you agree with this, we could update the biodiversity article for more accuracy
