The difference in meaning between
- "It is important that John Smith is there."
and
- "It is important that John Smith be there."
although it originated of course in England, seems no longer much observed outside of the USA, which is in nearly all respects a more traditional country than England. I see that this is written by an Australian, who wrote "...an order that the plaintiff provides [sic] security." I have changed it to "...an order that the plaintiff provide security." i don"t know how NPOV this will be considered to be, but at least it adheres to an information-conveying distinction. hold up,,, how is this related to the actual "Security of costs?" RELEVANCE??????
