What the hell is a 'holiday-maker'? I'm from the US, and have never encountered this phrase. Kent Wang 03:58, 31 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know if this word is used in any other countries but it's certainly used in the UK and means "tourist". I've changed the article. - Adrian Pingstone 09:21, 31 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

It's great that people want to contribute and improve this article on Futura International Airways, but why do people just add innacurate and re-phrased sentences that are already written?

Somebody added:

"Futura International Airways is an charter airline based in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. It operates inclusive-tour charters to destinations in Europe"

But further down it already said:

"today it operates...an independent route structure and ad-hoc flights on behalf of varius tour operators and airlines in Europe, North and South America, Africa and South East Asia."

What are "inclusive-tour charters" anyway?? I've heard of "charter flights" and "all-inclusive holidays" but never that.

The new addition is simplistic and innacurate. Futura has many bases and destinations outside of Europe, and besides it also operates amongst other things football charters, relief/aid flights to disaster zones, and more importantly, it's own scheduled flights, which is already mentioned in the article! I've changed the introduction to make it a little less misleading. Miguel Rodriguez Gorman 19:05, 1 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Is it still owned by Aer Lingus[edit]

Just wondering if it is still owned by Aer Lingus or if its independant or owned by another airline now

Yes Aer Lingus still has a stake in Futura --Splash15hotel 09:46, 28 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Aer Lingus sold its stake in 2007 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Andreorban (talkcontribs) 11:21, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Futura International Airways logo.png[edit]

Image:Futura International Airways logo.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Administration[edit]

Have they ceased operations? The link given on the page seems to suggest they will resume flights on the 9th
