Re: Page name change from: 'viol' to 'viola da gamba'[edit]

Hi Ian, thanks, my holiday was fantastic! You can't move the viol page to "viola da gamba" because there is some page history in the way at the latter title. Because the viol page is quite popular, it would be best to use the requested moves process to get it moved. If you decide to do this, it would be a good idea to notify WikiProject Classical music. Clive Cowdery on Clevedon[edit]

Thanks for your edit to Clevedon however you didn't provide a citation to support the link of Sir Clive Cowdery to the town. It is best to avoid overly promotional language.— Rod talk 08:10, 18 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your message. I have put it back with a link to Clive Cowdery (which didn't work before as you put Sir Clive Cowdery), but I have removed some of the promotional language and added a couple of the references you provided. Just becuase you know he went to a particular school, citations which others can access to confirm this are needed to add information on wikipedia. You do need to be careful about possible conflict of interest writing about your friends. I have also added lots of citation needed tags to his article and note this is full of promotional language.— Rod talk 17:24, 18 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on St John the Evangalist CE Primary School, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Notice

The article St John the Evangalist CE Primary School has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I've declined a speedy on this as it obviously doesn't qualify for speedy deletion, but I find it very unlikely that this will be a notable topic in Wikipedia terms. There are too many schools by this name to even identify which one is the intended subject so I can try to rescue it.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.  ‑ Iridescent 18:18, 22 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
