The improvement (as per bug #2016) is a good idea, but the change does not work. This message does not use wikisyntax, and requires HTML. See Special:Foobar. --Mormegil 19:37, 1 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The above comment was made before MW1.5 changed things. – ABCD 28 June 2005 03:54 (UTC)

Not all special pages are listed at Special:SpecialPages (though there could be an alternative to "some"). — Qwerfjkltalk 19:49, 24 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • @Qwerfjkl:How about we just use the default text?:

You have requested an invalid special page.

A list of valid special pages can be found at Special pages.

@Xaosflux, that has much the same has issue as the current wording - suggesting that all valid special pages are listed there, although it is a slight improvement. — Qwerfjkltalk 06:56, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Qwerfjkl I suppose that's what the "valid" pages part is about. I'll move to the default, then if you want to suggest an improvement for the default you can make it at phab, and all language projects will benefit from it (just like anyone who goes to special:specialpages here when their interface language is set to anything other than english. — xaosflux Talk 09:53, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
